Taiwan Excellence Showcases Innovative Products at REHACARE 2024

Innovative and Award-Winning Taiwanese MedTech Companies in the Spotlight at Leading Trade Show in Germany

Düsseldorf, September 23, 2024 – For the first time, the International Trade Administration of Taiwan (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) are hosting a press conference at REHACARE (Hall 1, Stand A87), the international leading trade fair for rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion, and care. During the „Taiwan Excellence Press Conference" on the first day of the fair, Wednesday, 25 September, from 12:30 to 13:20, innovative companies will present their latest developments in the fields of smart rehabilitation, supportive care, as well as mobility aids. The event will also feature an entertaining program focused on fitness and health.

Under the theme “Empowering Self-determined Living with Taiwan Excellence”, attendees of the press conference will experience outstanding new developments in medical devices and care products through presentations by selected companies. Products bearing the „Taiwan Excellence" label stand out for their exceptional achievements in R&D, design, quality, and marketing. These innovations were recognized through a rigorous selection process.

The Taiwan Excellence Award represents the best of Taiwanese innovation and technology, standing for excellence in quality and innovative design. In addition, experts from the exhibiting companies and organizers will provide exclusive insights into the Taiwanese medical product market, sustainable development strategies, and the latest research and development trends.

Among the companies presenting at the press conference are Golden Smart Home Technology with the training device PERFECT TEN, Biofast Biotech Originality Study with the Dynamic Spring Gel Mattress and Gel Seat Cushion, and Merits Health Products with the narrowest front-wheel drive rehab power wheelchair. These products represent the latest market innovations, and many have been honored with the prestigious Taiwan Excellence Award.

Taiwan Excellence’s debut at REHACARE will be celebrated with an extensive fitness and health program. Interested visitors can participate in yoga and relaxation classes featuring relaxation exercises. These will be held on the afternoon of 25 September starting at 3:00 PM, and from 26 to 28 September in the mornings starting at 11:30 AM and in the afternoons starting at 2:00 PM at the Taiwan Excellence booth (Hall 1, Stand A87). On all four days of the fair, giveaways such as T-shirts will be personalized by a well-known airbrush artist upon request. There will also be several activities and prize-winning contests with attractive prizes.

A total of eleven Taiwanese companies will showcase 14 groundbreaking products at REHACARE, including fitness and rehabilitation devices, electric wheelchairs, scooters, and exoskeletons designed to improve mobility and physical strength.

REHACARE 2024 offers a unique opportunity to discover the cutting-edge products and visionary leaders of the Taiwanese medical technology sector.

REHACARE 2024 will be held from Wednesday, 25 September to Saturday, 28 September at Messe Düsseldorf.

Featured companies and products at the “Taiwan Excellence Press Conference”

The focus is on three influential companies:

 

1. Golden Smart Home Technology

 

• Product: PERFECT TEN
• Overview: Golden Smart Home Technology (GSH) was founded in 2012 and is based in Hsin-chu Science Park. Among other things, GSH offers a health promotion platform called WowGoHealth, which connects AI-controlled devices. With the PERFECT TEN training device, ten muscle groups can be trained and a training report can be sent via social media. The product won the Taiwan Excellence Award 2024.

2. Biofast Biotech Originality Study

 

• Product: Dynamic Spring Gel Mattress, Dynamic Spring Gel Seat Cushion
• Overview: Biofast officially entered the field of innovative gels in 2005 and mainly offers innovative and unique gel materials for the healthcare sector. The Dynamic Spring gel mattress is the only self-adjustable, pressure-reducing and breathable cushion in the world. The Dynamic Spring Gel Seat Cushion is made from environmentally friendly carbon-reducing materials. Both products offer continuous 360 degree heat dissipation.

3. Merits Health Products

 

• Product: Axcel Front-Wheel Drive Rehab Power Wheelchair
• Overview: Merits Health Products was founded in 1986. The main products are electric rehab wheelchairs, electric scooters and stair lifts. The Axcel rehab power wheelchair with front-wheel drive is the narrowest power wheelchair of its kind. The appearance of the product is based on a sports car. The thrust system of the backrest is optimized, as is the extension of the electric footplate.
